Winchester Model 12 Skeet / Super Field 12 ga. Solid Rib!

***SALE PENDING***
Winchester Model 12 Skeet grade pump action shotgun with special order 28" solid matted rib barrel and modified choke.
S/N 1479259 made in 1953.
The vast majority of Model 12 Skeet grades were produced with 26" barrels and WS-1 chokes, but any other factory barrel could be substituted, usually at modest additional cost.
This one wears a 28" solid rib barrel with a Modified choke and a 2 3/4" chamber. Correct Bradley red bead front sight.
Special order barrels such as this were so popular that by 1957, Winchester had created a new cataloged configuration known as Super Grade, more commonly referred to as Super Field or even Special Field, but otherwise, they were virtually identical to the Skeet grade shotguns.
This example is in outstanding condition throughout, showing 98% original finishes with only minor marks and a few light freckles near muzzle end. Beautiful checkered wood. 14" LOP.
Mirror bore and perfect mechanical functions.
