Rare Winchester Model 12 16ga Super Field Grade pump action shotgun near new in original box. Serial number in the 1.6M range made in 1958. 28” MOD choke solid rib barrel. “Select Wood” straight English stock. Numbers match. Original blue finish is about perfect with high polish blue finish. Grease still in the chamber. The fancy wood stock is excellent with some light storage marks on left side. Box is matching (notice “Special”, “Select Wood” stampings on label). Shiny bore and perfect mechanics. The box itself is in excellent condition with solid corners, the usual paper packing tape and contains wax paper and the wood spacing inserts. Winchester would only make this Super Grade from 1955-1959 as they used up special grade wood and stocks along with their solid rib barrels as they incorporated their vent rib into the Winchester line of Model 12’s. Super Grades in the box are pretty scarce, then add the fact this is in 16ga with upgraded “Select Wood” and straight stock and you have one of the finest Winchester Model 12 16ga Super Grades I’ve seen.
