Terrific looking 100% all original Model 12 Trap with 2 Pin rib and "Rough Back" receiver. Ser. 1810859 (1961) From my research on the net, Winchester stopped marking Trap on the barrel extension around 1955. This is a true Trap model with a higher straight Trap stock and 2 pin vent rib. LOP to the Winchester Red solid pad is 14-1/4"
30" barrel, factory vent rib with untouched factory tight choke. The metal is 98-99% with some rub marks on the action bar and mag tube.. The bore is like a mirror. The "take up" ring shows it was moved one notch. The gun locks up like a bank vault. Rough back receiver finish is in the same extra fine condition.
The wood is original and shows the great grain that Winchester used to put on their shotguns. No scratches or scrapes on the stock or forearm. I shot Trap with the gentleman that owned this Model 12 two pin, and the 3 pin I have on another listing, and he was meticulous when it came to taking care of his Trap guns. He treated the Model 12's the same way he treated his high grade Perazzi's and Ljutics. Overall a great looking piece of Winchester history that you can take out and shoot.
