Pre-war Winchester Model 21 16 bore ejector gun two-barrel set with 26” and 28” barrels. The shorter barrels are choked cylinder and improved cylinder while the longer barrels are choked improved cylinder and improved modified. Length of pull of 14” to an orange Winchester recoil pad.
Semi-pistol grip, mechanical single selective trigger, auto safety with gold inlaid “SAFE” ahead of the safety catch, “R” and “L” for barrel selection engraved by the trigger, scalloped action, hold open top lever, raised matted concave rib, mid and front beads on the shorter barrels, front bead only on the longer barrels, fluted comb, checkered splinter forend and wrist with mullered borders. The barrels are a combination of dovetail and chopper lump styles. Serial numbers match on the action and the barrels. The gun is housed in a custom oak and leather Huey case (#114) with a canvas outer cover, burgundy baize, snap caps, oil bottle, two keys, and owner manuals. Circa 1935 gun with unaltered 2 5/8” chambers.
Unengraved action and furniture, both blued. Walnut stock with some figure. In excellent overall condition. Pristine bores and excellent bluing on barrels. Minor wear on the bottom strap. Checkering remains clean and crisp. The stock and forend show some scratches and minor compression marks. Top lever remains right of center, slightly off face, and ejectors in time.
