Scarce Model 42 Skeet grade in fine condition with desirable factory solid, matted rib barrel.
S/N 72747 made in 1948. A slight font variation can be seen between the factory stamped and matching barrel assembly and receiver serial numbers.  This is normal and has been observed on this and several other "transitional" year Winchester models (1946-1948), while the company was steam rolling into post WWII production but taking full advantage of all pre war components still in inventory.
95%+ original Blue and Varnish over most, with exception of an area of lightly scrubbed oxidation/corrosion on right rear of receiver.
28" solid rib barrel with an excellent bore. Full choke. 3" chamber.
All mechanical functions are smooth and working properly.
Deluxe checkered wood with full 14" LOP to plastic buttplate.
