"Winchester 1897 Trench Gun 12 Gauge (W10985)

"

WWI '97 Trench Gun with WWII upgrades. This mode '97 is numbered in the middle of the known serial number range for WWI. Factory letter states that the serial number was applied April 22, 1918. It is a solid frame in excellent condition, and has no US markings. (This is to be expected of guns that were not issued during WWI.) Barrel is 20"" and is correctly marked cylinder bore. It has two WWII upgrades: A correct WWII G.H.D. inspected buttstock and a WWII four hole heat shield/handguard. Comes with a 1917 bayonet. A great looking Trench Gun!
