The Winchester Model 1897 "Riot Gun" is an iconic, John Browning-designed pump-action shotgun featuring an exposed hammer and a 20-inch barrel. Produced from 1897 to 1957, it was widely favored by law enforcement and the military for its reliable "slam-fire" capability Action: Pump-action, bottom-feed, side-ejection. Capacity: 6-round tubular magazine. Slam-Fire: Lacking an interceptor, users can hold the trigger down and continuously pump to rapidly fire all shells. Barrel: 20-inch cylinder bore (marked "CYL" on genuine riot barrels). 12 Gauge
