We offer you an “EARLY PRODUCTION” Winchester Model 1200 12 Gauge Pump Action Shotgun 28 Inch Modified Choke 1964. Winchester introduced the model 1200 to the hunting community in 1964. The serial number of this one indicates it was made in late 1964 or early 1965. It wears a 28 inch barrel that has an excellent bore and a fixed modified choke. Which is not easy to find since most were shipped with a full choke. The finish on the barrel and receiver are in very fine condition as shown. Both stock show use marks but have no chips, cracks or repairs. The barrel is marked on the left side "WINCHESTER / MADE IN U.S.A. / MODEL 1200 - 12 GA 2 3/4 CHAM / WINCHESTER / PROOF STEEL / MOD". The Winchester proof mark is on top of the barrel and the receiver, and the serial number is on the underside of the receiver “166923”. The white in the markings is grease pencil and can be removed with a rag, gun oil and some good old fashioned elbow grease. $275 This will be shipped fully insured UPS Ground to your FFL for $60.
