Winchester Model 12 Pigeon Grade 20 ga. pre-war Solid Rib


Description:
Winchester model 12 Pigeon Grade 20 gauge pump action shotgun.

This Pigeon grade was made in either late 1940 or early 1941 making it a “pre-war” model 12.  That stat is important because the pre-war guns have finer (20 lpi) checkering as seen on this Pigeon.

26” barrel with solid rib and red front bead with WS-1 skeet choke.

The receiver has Pigeon engine turned (jeweled) bolt and lifter.  

The Pigeon grade pistol grip buttstock has a 14” LOP to the factory buttplate. 1 7/16” DAC and 2 ½” drop at heel with neutral cast.

The finishes are original. 97-98% barrel blue; 95-96% receiver blue with an area on the right, rear side that show wear from the palm/trigger finger of a right-hand shooter. 

Mechanically excellent.  Bore excellent.

A great gun to collect.  A great gun to hunt upland game.  A great gun for vintage Skeet.  But not so perfect that you wouldn’t want to shoot it!!
