Winchester Model 12 28 Gauge shotgun. Skeet gun marked “2 7/8” chamber skeet 28 gauge. Bore is excellent. Action works perfectly. The Simmons rib is done at Winchesters direction as it has the WP proof offset from the rib. Ribs installed by Simmon not at Winchesters “ok” to have the WP proofs covered by the rib. Winchester had some 28 gauge guns made with “so called” factory Cutts compensators. As to whether this is factory or not is usually up to conjecture or guess. The gun has been refinished and is a good job of refinishing. Stocks have original factory checkering and factory varnish. There is a plaque on the pistol grip “Galveston Skeet Club. Louis Pauls”. This could be easily removed and replaced by a Winchester grip cap. This gun is a scarce 28 gauge skeet gun and is very reasonably priced.
