Pre War Winchester Model 12 SKEET grade 16 gauge full choke Very Scarce!

*SOLD* Beautiful PRE WWII skeet grade M12 in 16 gauge with Solid Rib 28" full choke barrel. S/N 939*** with matching halves made in 1941. About 97% original finishes overall. Great bore and mechanics. Nice wood!
There were very few Model 12 skeet grade 16 gauges made compared to the other gauges besides 28 ga., and factoring in all of the latter phonies, I have actually seen fewer 16 ga. than I have 28 ga.!
Most Skeet grades in all gauges were supplied with WS1 skeet chokes, but any standard choke was available, making this full choke barrel assembly with matching S/N that much rarer. Due to their growing prevelance throughout production, these same skeet grade guns with alternate chokes and barrel lengths were given their own identity and referred to as Super Field grade around 1957 as I recall. Undeniably the greatest pump shotgun ever conceived and it would be difficult to find one much nicer than this in a 16 ga!
