The Model 21 is an American icon, and its reputation is well deserved. A strikingly handsome gun, gunners in the know have utilized the M21 in the field and at the club to shoot thousands of rounds without failure. IF YOU LIKE HEAVY LOADS FOR PHEASANTS OR OTHER TOUGH GAME, THIS IS THE GUN. With only 30,000 produced (compared to 250,000 Parkers!), any high condition Model 21 is a valuable, investment quality firearm. The Winchester model 21 Skeet Grade designed for skeet shooting, meaning it falls under a higher quality category compared to the standard field grade model. It typically features finer engraving, and has specific barrel length and choke configurations ideal for skeet shooting.
This Model 21, Skeet Grade, Serial: 23680 built in 1949, shipped with a set of most desirable 28” ventilated rib barrels choked WS1/WS2 and a set of 28" ventilated rib barrels choked Modified/Full. Both sets of barrels retain 99% factory blue, are tight on the hinge pin and breech face with the lever right of center, mirror bores, one barrel has a silver mid bead, and red Bradley front sights the other only a front silver bead. The action retains 97% factory blue with light wear at carry point, excellent screws, perfect mechanics, trigger guard retains 96% factory blue, crisp trigger pulls, Pachmayr Gun Works recoil pad, and strong well-timed ejectors. The factory wood is highly figured both sides and has been restored to new with a hand-rubbed oil finish, with stock dimensions matching the letter, checkering like new, wood-to-metal fit superb…just gorgeous! Brass plate on stock has been engraved with the initials “FAL” which matches the name on the leather case, Frank A. Lamberson. See the pictures of the condition of this beautiful firearm.
