Description:
Pre-war Winchester Model 21 side by side 16 bore ejector gun with 28” barrels. The gun is choked improved cylinder in both barrels. Length of pull of 14 1/16” to a hard plastic Winchester butt pad.
Prince of Wales stock, mechanical single selective trigger, auto safety with gold inlaid “SAFE” ahead of the safety catch, “R” and “L” for barrel selection engraved by the trigger, hold open top lever, raised matted concave rib, front bead, engraved silver grip cap, checkered splinter forend and wrist with mullered borders. The barrels are a combination of dovetail and chopper lump styles. Serial numbers match on the action, barrels, and forend iron. Circa 1936 gun with unaltered 2 5/8” chambers.
Unengraved sculpted action and furniture, both blued. Walnut stock with good figure. In very good overall condition. Very good bluing on barrels and action with some silvering due to carry wear. The trigger guard and the bottom tang have silvered. Bores rate excellent. Checkering is slightly worn on both the forend and the wrist. The stock shows scratches and minor compression marks. Top lever remains right of center, barrels on face, and ejectors slightly out of time. An honest as found pre-war 16 bore Model 21 for your consideration.
