The Model 21 is an American icon. A strikingly handsome gun with the finest steels, gunners in the know have utilized the Model 21 in the field and at the club to shoot thousands of rounds without failure. IF YOU LIKE HEAVY LOADS FOR PHEASANTS OR OTHER TOUGH GAME, THIS IS THE GUN. FOR THOSE THAT SHOOT HIGH VOLUME BIRDS OR CLAYS, THIS IS YOUR GUN! With only 30,000 produced (compared to 250,000 Parkers!), any high condition Model 21 is a valuable, investment quality firearm. 16 gauge were made in fewer numbers than even the 20ga. guns, so finding original Model 21 guns in 16ga. is not an easy task. Most that you see have been restored with modern finishes that look like the receiver has been painted black and not done to factory specifications. So how do you know which one to buy. To make a wise purchase you need thorough and clear photographs, specifications that tell you what you MUST know so as not to make a mistake in your purchase, and you need to know you can trust the seller. Vintage Firearms provides all these things, and with our 4 full-time gunsmiths we never sell guns that aren’t fully inspected with mechanical warranties. This M21 16ga. sn29060, made in 1954, is a bit different in that it has the rarely found and mostly preferred 28” barrels…very desirable and hard to find. ALL FINISHES ON WOOD AND METAL ARE FACTORY ORIGINAL. THE WOOD IS FABULOUSLY FIGURED WALNUT WITH DARK MARBLED FIGURE ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BUTTSTOCK, LIKELY THE BEST YOU WILL FIND ON A SKEET GRADE. It has been lightly cleaned and has some light dings by the toe and pistol grip areas. Most gunners love great wood and gladly pay a premium to get it. We have a Cody Firearms Museum information sheet that documents the gun shipped as shown in the photos. The barrels retain 99% factory blue, perfect bores, choked WS1 and WS2 which make for great upland bird chokes, barrels tight on the breech face and hinge pin, top lever well right of center, a silver mid bead and the Bradley red front sight in the classic Model 21 fashion. The action retains 98% factory blue with some light scratches on the trigger plate, perfect screws, single selective trigger with crisp pulls, strong well-timed ejectors, all mechanically excellent. The gorgeous wood on this gun has the expected light handling marks but no cracks or splits, excellent checkering and wood-to-metal fit, checkered butt, and great dimensions for the modern shooter. BEST OF ALL WE HAVE THE CORRECT, ORIGINAL FACTORY BOX WITH FULLY INTACT AND LEGIBLE LABEL AND THE FACTORY HANG TAG, ALL IN EXCELLENT CONDITION FOR THEIR AGE! This is a value added feature you almost never see and a rare opportunity to own a collector grade Model 21. What a great gun for the field or shooting clays at the club. All original Model 21 guns are sought after investment quality firearms. They are getting harder to find every day. We have priced this one affordably, so don’t hesitate or she’ll be gone! Thanks for looking!
