When John Olin wanted to have title to the strongest side by side shotgun in the world, he went to work and got it done.  The Model 21 is an American icon with a well-deserved reputation.  A handsome gun built with the finest steels, gunners in the know have utilized this Winchester in the field and at the club to shoot thousands of rounds without failure.  IF YOU LIKE HEAVY LOADS FOR PHEASANTS OR OTHER TOUGH GAME, THIS IS THE GUN.  FOR THOSE THAT SHOOT HIGH VOLUME BIRDS OR CLAYS, THIS IS YOUR GUN!  With only 30,000 produced (compared to 250,000 Parkers!), any high condition Model 21 is a valuable, investment quality firearm.   Search the internet and you will see lots of 12ga. guns for sale.  Sixteen-gauge M21’s were made in fewer numbers than the 20ga. guns, so finding Model 21 guns in 16ga. is not an easy task.  Finding a 2-barrel set that gives you the ultimate versatility with 26” barrels choked WS1/WS2 and 28” barrels choked M/F, all in a nice case is near impossible!  This M21 16ga. Skeet Grade, sn13872 made in 1940, is set up for all your upland and clay target needs.   The gun shipped originally with the 26” Skeet barrels that are the ultimate for upland hunting in the thick stuff for grouse, or in the open over dogs for pheasants, quail, and other western birds.  The 28” M/F choked barrels were added at a later date and are not serial numbered to the gun.  We can match the serial numbers to the set if you so choose.  The gun is in excellent condition throughout, with perfect mechanics and screws. 99% barrel and trigger guard blue, 97% receiver blue, single selective trigger, ejectors, and nicely finished figured wood…all make for a very special Model 21.  The gun’s barrels are both tight on the breech face and hinge pin like a new gun, top lever to the right, no cracks in the wood, excellent checkering and wood to metal fit.  The gun is priced right for such a unique and desirable Model 21 that will make the ultimate upland gun for you this season and do you well on the clays course as well.  What a classic Winchester we have here, without flaw, and a great investment quality gun.  If you like, we can custom fit the case to the gun, add the Winchester trade label, snap caps, oil bottle, and cleaning accessories to make for an awesome presentation and storage case for your fine two-barrel set.  Thanks for looking!
