Most double gun enthusiasts are aware of the reputation earned by the Winchester Model 21; a gun of superior strength and mechanical genius created under the micro-management of John Olin himself.  With only 32,000 produced (compared to 250,000 Parkers!), any high condition Model 21 is a valuable, investment quality firearm sure to appreciate as you enjoy its use.   From 1930 to 1980 they only made about 2900 twenty-gauge guns in all grades, most of them weighing well over 6 3/4lbs., many over 7lbs.  To find a Model 21 20ga. that weighs in at just 6lbs. 6oz. is an event.  Anybody who walks long distances in the field appreciates a lighter gun by the end of the day.  Model 21's are fully capable of shooting the most powerful loads available, SO IF YOU LIKE MAGNUM LOADS FOR PHEASANTS, DUCKS, OR OTHER TOUGH GAME, THIS IS YOUR GUN (we can make it a 3” chamber safely in our gunsmith shop).  This gun, sn17971 produced in 1950 for Abercrombie and Fitch has the desirable features of super light-weight,  English style stock that is nicely figured, and is still housed in the original Abercrombie and Fitch leather case complete with their labeled snap caps and oil bottle.  The case and accessories are worth $800!  The gun is in 99% FACTORY ORIGINAL CONDITION, and the interior of the case shows little wear, indicating this gun was rarely used.  The stock shield is monogramed “KIM”, so the gun was likely set up for a woman who rarely used the gun.  The combination of Single Selective trigger, ejectors, beavertail forend, light weight, English stock and WS1/WS2 chokes clearly demonstrate its intended use…clay targets and THE ULTIMATE M21 UPLAND BIRD GUN.  The WS1 Choke is perfect for your 25-yard shots, and the WS2 is actually a little tighter than IC, good to 35 yards, your perfect chokes for grouse or pheasants over dogs.  This gun has seen little use, retaining FACTORY FINISHES on all metal and wood, including 99% barrel blue, 99% receiver blue, and 99% trigger guard blue.  The wood is nicely figured as shipped from the factory.  The Cody Firearms Museum records are included with the purchase.  The gun is ready for another 69 years of service.  I am 5’ 10” and the gun is not too short for me to use afield, especially with hunting clothes to keep me warm.  This is an extremely desirable Model 21 20 gauge gun.  The price is right, and the gun will always be an appreciating asset as you enjoy its use.  Thanks for looking!
