Description:
Winchester Model 23 XTR Pigeon Grade in 20 gauge chambered for 3" shells. This example has 26" ejector barrels with a white bead in a base at the front of the rib and a smaller white mid-bead. The top of the solid rib is checkered. The left side of the left barrel is marked "PIGEON GRADE – WINCHESTER – MODEL 23 XTR – 20 GAUGE 3" – 76mm / NEW HAVEN, CONN. – U.S.A.", the right of the right barrel is marked "MADE IN JAPAN" and the top of the rib is marked "PIGEON GRADE". The left barrel flat is marked "S", the right is marked "D", "203063", and "20-3" in oval. The bottom of the left barrel is marked with a "WP" proof and "MOD***", the bottom of the right barrel is marked "INP CYL****" with an ovalled "WP" proof. The receiver is scroll engraved with the motif continuing on the top lever, trigger guard and portion of the forend iron. The bottom of the receiver is engraved with a pigeon and "WINCHESTER". It has an auto safety / barrel selector switch. The stocks are two-piece checkered walnut with a beavertail forend, round bottom pistol grip, straight comb, and a Winchester smooth black rubber recoil pad. Comes with a hard canvas covered Winchester case, keys, canvas case cover, and some paperwork. Overall this winchester appears unused and rates in excellent condition with a few minor storage marks. 20 Gauge

Chambers: 3" chambers.
Metal Condition: Light contact wear from the forend touching the barrels.
Wood Condition: 97%-98% with a fine scattered scratches in the finish and a few light dings scattered on stock.
Bore Condition: Bright bores with no corrosion.
