WINCHESTER MODEL 24 SIDE BY SIDE 20 GAUGE - EXCELLENT -
Description:
An excellent little 20 Gauge Winchester Side by Side with double triggers and 26 inch barrels choked imp cyl and mod and with 2&3/4 inch chambers. Bores and chambers are excellent condition. Overall this shotgun retains 97% of original blue and original walnut finish - in other words "near perfect". The previous owner shortened the stock to 12 & 3/4 inches LOP but with a good pad added the length would be just fine at 13 &3/4 inches - even longer with a simple black spacer. I'm discounting the gun heavily because of the shortening but in reality even a non altered stock had a lousy buttplate and needs a pad also. Have a good gunsmith add a nice "Kick eez" 1 inch pad and even if he charged twice what he should just look at the dandy little bird gun you will have as a result! Or, in keeping with tradition, have him use a solid red rubber Winchester marked pad to complete the equation.
