This Win. Mod 42 still remains in factory box as shown. This very nice, SN# 83510, was bought new in 1951 by a South Georgia Farmer who put the gun away, never taken out after he purchased and took home to his family farm. From his local hardware store he never put the gun together to shoot. A true time capsule of a Model 42. The real deal "ORIGINAL" all new Model 42. What makes this gun of ecen more interest is that most Model 42's have either Full or Modified choke. This gun is "CYLINDER" Bore Choked. The 26inch plain barrel is standard Grade I as a Field Grade. No scratches on either metal or wood on this little gun has been in safe keeping for 5+ decades. A True Collectors Item.
