Marketed as ‘Everybody’s Sweetheart,’ as well as “The Greatest Little Shotgun in the World” at its introduction the sleek, fast handling Model 42 soon became a hit with upland hunters and Skeet shooters alike. The Model 42 is an icon in the ranks of Winchester firearms, made in the days of the highest quality control and hand fitted parts.  The Model 42 was a flawlessly produced little pump gun, chambered only for the diminutive .410 shotgun shell. In the 30 years of production that ran from 1933 to 1963, just 160,000 of these fine guns were produced. This example, serial number 153708 was manufactured in 1959. It’s been in a private collection for its entire life, taken out and admired often and maybe a test fire! Check out the photographs and you’ll see a Model 42 with crisp lines; 99% factory finishes throughout with just a few light handling marks and barely a mark on the bolt face, even the inside of the action looks like new!  This Winchester Model 42 weighs just 5lbs. 12oz. it has a 26” barrel with a mirror bore and is choked full. A great choice for those who are die hard Winchester fans or just looking for a reliable .410 in high factory condition.
