Winchester Model 42, 410 Bore, 28" Plain, Full

Description:
Winchester Model 42 with 28" Full Choke manufactured at the famous plant in New Haven, Conn., USA in 1940. This gun is a great Shooter and would make a fine Hunter.I would not classify it as  collector quality as it has about a 1/2 doz. dark oxidation spots on the chamber area extenting down to the end of the forearm in the bluing. It appears some 0000 steel wool was used to clean the spots and thus thinning out the blue in that area. The bottom portion of the barrel beyond the forearm has some scratches due to the firearm being improperly taken down. I rate the blue on the barrel at 80% as is and the receiver is excellent or rated at 95%.The wood is great with a few marks on the rears stock . I rate the wood at about 95%. The factory logo butt plate is excellent. The bore is shiny and clean.The action is tight and everything appears to function perfectly.The serial number is 43249.
