Story goes that the roll mark for the model 59 wasn't available at this time so they stamped it with the model 50 roll mark. Provenance shows these were payment instead of cash to Norm Flayderman, a noted author and historian, for his assistance in moving the Winchester museum from New Haven to Cody, Wyoming.
