Offered for sale is a benchmarck example of the WW2 Winchester M1897 Trench shotgun. 100% original Trench gun that was privately purchased by a career Air Corps General at a RAF base in England. Included is a signed letter from the General detailing the ownership and purchase of the weapon. Also included is a signed Weapons Registration card serial numbered to the shotgun. The shotgun has matching numbers and nearly all of its beautiful Winchester blueing. The stock is mint and correctly marked with the GHD/Crossed Cannons cartouche. The sling is marked BOYT 44 and is in super condition as well. These combat shotguns have been appreciating very well and almost always sell for big dollars at the large venues.
Truly an impossible to upgrade example of the Winchester M1897 WW2 Trench.
