**SOLD** Winchester Model 12 Pump Action Shotgun in 16 Gauge **Mfg 1925 - 26" Modified Choke
Description: **SOLD** Here we have a classic Winchester Model 12 in 16 gauge made in 1925. The iconic Winchester Model 1912 (also commonly known as the Model 12, or M12) is an internal-hammer pump-action shotgun with an external tube magazine. Popularly named the Perfect Repeater at its introduction, it largely set the standard for pump-action shotguns over its 51-year high-rate production life. From August 1912 until first discontinued by Winchester in May 1964, nearly two million Model 12 shotguns were produced in various grades and barrel lengths. This particular example has had some things done over the years. It appears that it has been reblued at some point. There is a crack in the stock at the wrist where it meets the back of the receiver and it looks like it goes from one side to the other. In addition to the crack in the wrist the stock has some pressure marks. The forend is very nice. The butt plate has been replaced with an FN branded part and the LOP is 13 1/2". There is some high edge wear and the finish is thinning in a few spots. The action is buttery smooth and sure. The 26" plain barrel has a good bore, a bead front sight, 2 3/4" chamber and a fixed modified choke. Though not a pristine collector model 12 this is still a very fine Winchester in very desirable 16 gauge.
