Winchester Model 1897, 12 Gauge, 30 Inch Barrel, 1955 Vintage SOLD
Description: The Winchester Model 1897 was made from 1897 to 1957, with approximately 1,024,700 manufactured. This 1955 vintage Model 1897 is fitted with a numbers matching 30 inch barrel, walnut pistol grip stock with black plastic Winchester butt-plate, grooved walnut forearm, take-down configuration, is blue finished, and chambered in 12 Gauge 2 3/4 inch. This slide action shotgun is in excllent original condition, retaining 85% original blue on the barrel, 60% on the magazine tube, and 90-95% on the frame and trigger guard. The stock and forearm retain most all of their original finishes, with assorted minor handling marks. The bore looks as new and the action is tight and functions perfectly.
