An affordable and durable pump shotgun, the Winchester Super X Pump (SXP) has been a popular choice for many applications for the last decade. With trims in various finishes, gauges, and barrel lengths, there seems to be an SXP for everyone. The 12 gauge Marine Defender version of the venerable Winchester shotgun features combat-ready appointments to make it ready for anything--especially things that go bump in the night. The SXP Marine Defender features an 18 ½" defensive barrel threaded for Invector Plus chokes and includes a cylinder choke, optimal for shooting buckshot or slugs. The barrel is topped with a standard single brass bead and a removable Truglo green fiber optic sight for fast target acquisition. The receiver is also drilled and tapped for scope bases, should you decide to add an optic. The shotgun can accept up to 3" shells and its cycling operation is made smoother and easier by way of the 4-lug bolt and inertia-assisted mechanism. This design allows the bolt to partially unlock after the load has left the barrel and move backwards, allowing the manual pump action to complete the cycle. Making the Marine Defender unique is the inclusion of hard chrome plating on various parts of the shotgun. The barrel, magazine tube, slide arms, and internals are chrome-plated to improve lubricity and weatherproof the gun. (This treatment is reminiscent of Mossberg 590A1 and Benelli M4 Marine models utilized by military units.) This shotgun is in like-new condition and includes a Butler Creek padded sling. It does not include a box, case, or additional chokes. 12 Gauge
