The Winchester Model 101 Pigeon Grade Lightweight is a premium Japanese-built over/under shotgun manufactured by Miroku and renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship, balance, and reliability. Built on the proven low-profile Model 101 action, it features a precision-machined steel receiver with tasteful Pigeon Grade game scene engraving, a single selective mechanical trigger, tang-mounted safety with integral barrel selector, and the robust Browning-style locking system that has made the Model 101 one of the most respected field shotguns ever produced. The chrome-lined barrels and interchangeable choke system provide excellent durability and versatility for upland hunting, sporting clays, and general field use.
This example features 27-inch vent-rib barrels with six Winchester Invector choke tubes, a 14-inch length of pull, and weighs 7 lbs. 6 oz. The rib is equipped with a traditional white front bead and white mid-bead for a clean sight picture. The shotgun is stocked in an attractive feather-crotch Claro walnut stock and matching forend, highlighted by fine checkering and a round-knob pistol grip. Unlike many Pigeon Grade models, this gun features a beavertail-style field forend without a Schnabel tip, giving it a classic, streamlined appearance while providing excellent control in the field. The combination of premium walnut, lively handling characteristics, and Miroku's outstanding fit and finish make this Model 101 an excellent choice for both the collector and the serious upland hunter.
