Winchester Model 21 20ga - CUSTOM GRADE, LETTERED, vintage firearms inc
Description: General Specs: Winchester, Year 1974, 20 Gauge, 6lbs. 8oz., Chokes WS1 WS2, LOP 14 3/16", DAH 2 3/8", DAC 1 1/2" Serial Number: W22150 Most double gun enthusiasts are aware of the reputation earned by The Winchester Model 21; a gun of superior strength that was under the micromanagement of John Olin himself. Model 21 guns can shoot the most powerful loads, SO IF YOU LIKE MAGNUM LOADS FOR PHEASANTS, DUCKS, OR OTHER TOUGH GAME, THIS IS YOUR GUN! It is also well known that the guns from the Custom Shop were the best Model 21's ever produced. Winchester condensed its operations into one shop beginning in 1960...The Custom Shop. Manned by the most experienced craftsman, each employed by Winchester an average of 25 years prior, these men were serious about the finest details. This gun, snW22150 produced in 1974, shows this workmanship with jeweled barrel flats, water table, forend iron, standing breech, and breech face; superb wood to metal fit, crisp mechanics...a masterpiece Olin would be proud of. The factory letter details the gun just as you see it. The exhibition figured feathercrotch stock is checkered with the Custom Grade checkering with ebony inlay in forend. We have an official Winchester Factory Letter from Cody Firearms Museum to be included with your purchase and shown in the photos. WHEN YOU CONSIDER CONDITION, RARITY, DESIRABILITY, FACTORY DOCUMENTED FEATURES, AND THE OVERALL USEFULNESS OF THIS CUSTOM GRADE MODEL 21, YOU WILL RECOGNIZE THIS AS A FABULOUS INVESTMENT VEHICLE THAT WILL ONLY INCREASE IN VALUE AS YOU ENJOY ITS USE. Just in time for the upcoming upland season and practice at the club beforehand, just imagine taking mature roosters with the magnum capable 20ga. loads or taking decoying ducks with some HeviShot Tungsten shells. If you read the modern shotgun ballisticians, you can shoot hard non-toxic shot in this gun with the WS1/WS2 chokes (WS2 is nearly modified choke in constriction) chokes and not risk damage to the barrels. Truly a versatile and historically important shotgun. If you want a custom fit leather case to house this gun, complete with Winchester Model 21 trade label and all accessories, just ask. We custom fit cases to fine shotguns here in our shop. They only made about 200 CUSTOM GRADE 20 GAUGE guns from the CUSTOM SHOP, and only one just like this one, so don't hesitate or you will miss out on this fine shooting classic.
