Hammerless Sidelocks - From Nigel Brown\'s book printed on the photo page 113: "James Purdey 12 bore top-lever bar-in-wood, hammer gun No. 10074 made 1877. This was one of Nigel Browns personal guns. If you don\'t have Nigel\'s book "British Gunmakers Volume I ~ London" it is a must have.

*An excellent example of the peak of the hammer gun era, combining great elegance with functional simplicity." We took this gun out yesterday and we all shot it well. See Travis in attached picture with good friend Rick. He has a big smile on his face as he found it difficult to miss targets with this gun!

*The Original Damascus barrels were shortened by Purdey\'s to their current length, and a new set of 30" steel barrels were fitted by them.
