Springfield Joslyn Breechloading Rifle by 56-50 RF
Description: This is not a conversion. There were 3,007 manufactured in 1865. These are considered Civil War rifles based on material found in 1972, which states these were the first breech loading cartridge guns built by a national armory. The lock is dated 1864, with an eagle and US Springfield. These were assembled using Joslyn locks and actions and stocks built for this weapon. This one is in excellent condition, with excellent wood. All numbers match, which means the caliber is 56/50 RF. The bore is excellent. The sights are original. A great example of the last issue Civil War rifle. Buyer pays $30.00 shipping. Three day inspection allowed if notification is given and item is returned UNALTERED, less shipping. Antique – no FFL required. If your state or area requires an FFL for antiques, buyer must provide one. Must be 21 years of age to purchase.
