Manufactured in Hirtenberg, Austria, this ammunition remains enclosed within its original dark military storage wrapper with the factory contents label still attached and clearly legible. The exterior label identifies the contents as “200 Cartridges cal. 7,62 mm × 51 WOODEN BULLET” and bears the distinctive HP Hirtenberger trademark. The packaging represents the compact moisture-resistant battle-pack format used to protect military ammunition during transport, depot storage, and field distribution.

Wooden-bullet cartridges were developed for military training and blank-firing applications.
