The vz. 58 was designed at Brno by engineer Ji?í ?ermák
The press catch is in the crosspiece, eliminating the need for a pommel
Composition wood grip scales
The grip material is beech particleboard bonded with phenol formaldehyde resin. The grip was made in two halves, which were then bonded together with epoxy resin
The grip scales are secured by two rivets
Leather angled scabbard
Lock and release mechanism works great
Serial number 4479T on ricasso with 086 on reverse side
The VZ–58 bayonet was produced for more than 20 years
Based on the grip scales this should have been made in the 1960s
