The Gemrig Co. made medical kits for the U.S. Military from 1860-1865. The set is very fine throughout including the tools which are maker marked and the brass bound case which is beautiful inside and out. The set is missing a tweezer, a small hook tool, one acapel, ant a turnicut. These are not hard items to find. The entire case closed measures 16 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches by 2 1/2 inches high.
