This is one of a few buckles I'll be listing coming from a large batch of Civil War items that a local collector is freeing up slowly as he is getting on in years and wants to move his vast assortment of original items, both Union and Confederate, so stay vigilant as I don't know what he'll release next - he has many boxes and totes filled with pictures, documents, buttons, corps badges, letters and lots more! There is no written provenance as to where it was dug from, only verbal. The plate is dented and dinged in several spots but the loop is mostly straight.
