The custom etched blade presents a stands of arms and “U.S.N” on banner, fowled anchor, stars, scrolls and Horstmann Logo on one side, The Powerful American eagle and similar motifs on reverse with iron proof at top of the spine. The blade is about excellent with frosty etching and remarkably has original polish. Etching extends 16” from hilt down blade of 28 ½” and 35” overall. The rare Original scabbard is sharkskin with the proper mounts which are marked “48” in small die stamps.
