A very good French/Italian belt flintlock pistol with a 101/2" long smooth bore barrel and fancy engraving through-out, but worn smooth in places. The .Action works well and the mainspring is very strong, while the flint gives a shower of sparks. Furniture is chiselengraved iron and engraved brass. Wood appears to be Continatal walnut.Looks like a working pistol of the 17th thru 18th century..Meausres overall about 18" and the bore is about .60 caliber.
