Colt frame marked by Springfield Inspector at Colt plant(Eagle head with S14 underneath). "G" stamp on frame denotes it was made for government contract. "H" stamp by Colt Inspector Francic L. Hosmer(1911-1919). Frame is marked UNITED STATES PROPERTY. Springfield Armory slide is also marked with Colt's mfg patent and a flamimg bomb on the rear of the slide, reverse is marked MODEL OF 1911.
