Colt Military Model 1911 1912 Production In Fine Original As Issued Condition
Description: SOLD This Colt Model 1911 was produced in 1912. The pistol's serial number is 6411. It has the correct 45 A.C.P. barrel with the "H" on the barrel shroud lip. The bore is in good condition with good lands with some pitting on the land grooves. This Colt has not been altered or rebuilt. It has the correct style magazine release retaining catch. The sights are the correct early sights. The back strap base pin has both rounded ends. The"Pony"is in a circle on the slide above the safety notch. The Magazine has the key hole punch cut on the back. This pistol's original bluing would rate a 92% overall condition. The wood grips are in very fine condition. The action works great with no issues. This 1912 Colt has been well cared for and it shows. It is very difficult to find 1912 production 1911's, To find one in this nice of original condition is a real find! Here is a correct as issued 1912 production first year with a low serial number!
