Modelo 1927 is an Argentine-licensed copy of the Colt M1911A1 chambered in .45 ACP, manufactured by the Dirección General de Fabricaciones Militares at the Fábrica Militar de Armas Portátiles “Domingo Matheu” in Rosario. These pistols were produced between 1945 and 1966 under a licensing agreement with Colt, utilizing original Colt blueprints and specifications. Notably, some models bear the “Policía de la Provincia de Buenos Aires” marking on the right side of the slide, indicating issuance to the Buenos Aires Provincial Police .
