Synopsis: High Original Condition Ithaca 1911A1 pistol, U.S. Military, WWII, made 1943. Description: Standard configuration 1911A1 manufactured by Ithaca in 1943, the left side of the slide marked with the usual two-line Ithaca address. The model designation, SN, and U.S. Army markings are on the right side of the frame. Proofing includes the "P" on top of the slide and on the left frame below the magazine release, both barely breaking through the parkerized finish. The left side of the frame has the "FJA" inspection mark while the ordnance wheel is lightly stamped on the right frame near the tang. The barrel lug is marked with an 'HS' (High Standard) and 'P', as is correct for an original assembled pistol. It is fitted with blade and notch sights, serrated slide release, thumb safety, narrow checkered hammer, short grip safety, and checkered Keyes Fiber grips. Correct blued magazine marked with an 'S' on the toe. Condition: Near EXC original parkerized finish with sharp edge wear and a scattering of handling marks reflecting its history of service. Comparable grips and magazine. Mirror bright bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics.
