W.W.2 Early Ithaca Model 1911-A1 Pistol With Original Holster
Description: This Ithaca pistol is a first production run of 1943. The pistol's serial number is 1238139. It has the correct High Standard Barrel. The bore is bright with no pitting or frosting. High Standard was the main supplier of barrels for Ithaca gun works. This pistol shows service wear and use. There is no abuse or damage to this pistol. Most of the wear is holster wear. All of the parts are correct for Ithaca for the serial number range and year of production. The original parkerized finish would rate a 90% overall condition The original barrel blue would rate a 45% 0verall condition due to slide operating wear. The brown plastic grips are original to this pistol. The magazine is a correct World War 2 Magazine. The holster is by Graton & Knight Co. There is no date. This firm produced quality holsters for the 1911 series pistol in both world wars. This holster is in very fine condition! The leather is supple with no stiching loss or separation. This is a very fine honest pistol rig That would appeal to the military collector. This Ithaca being a very early production run for this company is also a plus!
