This Union Switch And Signal pistol was produced in 1943. The pistol's serial number is 1074639. This pistol has the correct High Standard barrel chambered to shoot the 45 A.C.P. cartridge. This barrel is in fine condition with a bright sharp bore. There is some slight blue loss on this barrel from working the action. There is a typical slight idiot line on the frame. This pistol is in near new condition. This pistol has the correct early Keyes Fiber grips for this pistol. The military Du Lite finish would rate a 98% or better condition. The barrel bushing has the correct tool marking on the surface of the bushing. The frame shows the correct surface tool marks and polish marks. There is no "P" stamp on the top of the slide in front of the rear sight. This is correct for this pistol. The magazine is in new condition. This magazine has the "S" inside the toe denoting Scovill being the maker of this magazine. This is a really stunning looking pistol by a rare maker! These Union Switch & Signal pistols are one of the rarest Model 1911-A1's to find today.
