Remington Model 1890 Pistol With 5 1/2 Inch Barrel In Nice Original Condition
Description:
These Remington Model 1890's were produced between 1891 to 1894. There were about 2000 of these 1890's produced. This Remington Pistol's Serial Number is 1407. This serial number is placed on the left side of the frame by the butt. You have to remove the left grip panel to see the serial number. This 5 1/2 Inch Barrel is chambered to shoot the 44 W.C,F. The bore on this pistol is in good to better condition. The cylinders are in fine bright condition. The action works fine. The trigger spring is somewhat weak but still works. The original bluing would rate about 40% condition. The hammer still shows strong color cased finish. The rest of the surface is mostly silvery with spots of patina. The original grips have a chip missing on both sides of the heel. The cylinder base pin still has the original retaining spring intact. The pistol butt still has the original swivel intact. This Remington is in good working order with no sign of abuse. These Remington Model 1890's are quite rare today! This pistol is a respectable example of these rare Remington's!
