A highly desirable Civil War–era Remington collectible, this Rider Double Action New Model Belt Revolver stands out as a scarce factory metallic-cartridge conversion—an advanced and sought-after sidearm from the peak years of westward expansion.
  • Manufactured by Remington from 1863 to 1873
  • Estimated original production of only 3,000 to 5,000 Rider Double Action New Model Belt Revolvers

    • Bottom of the barrel
    • Hand-marked in blue ink inside both grip panels
  • Conversion number “4” is also consistently marked in multiple locations:
    • Left side of the grip frame
    • Trigger guard tang
    • Bottom of the barrel
    • Rear face of the conversion plate on the cylinder, along with “1010”
    • Hand-marked in black pencil inside both grip panels
  • Equipped with a blade front sight
  • Frame-top groove rear sight
  • Fitted with a pair of very attractive smooth pearl grips, adding strong visual appeal and collector desirability
  • An excellent choice for collectors focused on:
    • Early Remington revolvers
    • Factory cartridge conversions
    • Double-action frontier-era sidearms
    • Scarce American West firearms
    • Historically important transitional revolver technology
