Oddly enough, the 9 in 910 designates that this is a 9MM handgun, and the 10 designates the capacity of the handgun. The 910 replaced the 915 in the civilian market in 1994, due to the assault weapons ban, restricting magazine capacity to civilian owned guns. However, once the ban expired in 2004, the guns were shipped with 15-round magazines (as this one did), while retaining the name Model 910.
