Under this contract, Springfield made just over 25,700 pistols for the war effort. This firearm has a few unique features on it. Underneath the grip on the right side of the gun, there is a name scratched into the frame of the gun that reads "R C Wilson". On the left side grip, there are three notches that have been carved into the lower diamond of the grip panel. .45 ACP
