The Taurus PT99 AF is a double-action/single-action (DA/SA) handgun designed for duty use, home defense, and range shooting. It features a frame-mounted safety/decocker, allowing the pistol to be carried either with the hammer down for double-action or “cocked and locked” with the hammer back.
One of the main differences between the PT99 and similar Taurus models is its micrometer-adjustable rear sight, which can be tuned for windage and elevation to improve shooting accuracy with different ammunition.
