Factory finish on metal, factory grips. This gun is in overall fine condition showing approx. 98% original nickel with smooth surface throughout, crisp action, sharp markings. In technical terms this would be the S&W Safety Hammerless New Departure Top Break Revolver in cal. 38 S&W. The mechanical function is perfect and the bore is bright and shiny. The pivot pin and everything is solid and tight. Safety Hammerless 2nd Model ' Vintage top-break double-action-only concealed hammer. Features a ribbed barrel with the barrel address on the top rib, pinned round blade front sight, 'u' notched rear sight, fluted five-shot cylinder with automatic extractor, smooth trigger, concealed hammer, knurled grip safety, blued trigger guard.
