"Colt 1847 Walker (AC1194)
Description: "Serial number C company 172. Made in 1847. 44 Caliber with a 9" barrel. This gun has no original finish, but is an original Colt Walker with the original barrel length. Most of the markings have been freshened. This gun was converted to a dragoon style catch during the period of use, but has since been converted back to a walker style catch. The grips are very good `This gun comes with a letter from noted Colt Walker expert Herb Glass declaring this gun an original Walker with some restoration. The C company is especially desirable as these were the very first Walkers issued as this was Captain Sam Walker’s company.
