The bottom of the frame, forward of the grip frame, is marked "1773NEB". The left of the trigger guard is marked "2". The butt of the grip frame has scroll engraving.
Barrel Length: 4 3/4"
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a quarter-round blade fixed to the front of the barrel. The rear sight is a square notch in the topstrap.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece mother of pearl panels with gold colored Colt medallions. The grips only a few scattered minor marks. There are no chips or cracks. The grips are in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.

The interior has gold satin on the lid and blue felt lined fitted tray for the revolver. The exterior of the case has some scattered light compressions, scuffs and general storage wear, the interior shows only very faint wear from the revolver, in about Very Good-plus condition.
